Diwali 2022:-

As per the Hindu calendar in 2022 Diwali is on 24 October 2022. The Laxmi Ganesha pooja is held on that day.

Diwali 2022: History:-

For Hindus:- Diwali is based on Ramayana . On this day Lord Ram come back home after spending 14 years in the forest . People welcome him with Lights and Diya’s .

It is say that after defeating Ravana in war Lord Ram came back to home with his wife Sita and his younger brother Laxman.

For Sikhs:- Sikhs celebrate diwali because on this day Guru Hargobind was imprison with 52 kings from jahangir in 1619.  Guru Hargobind refused freedom until all 52 kings did not get freedom with him.

For Jains:- Jains celebrate diwali because that day is the last day for Jain Tirthankaras,Lord Mahavira gaine nirvana. 

People celebrate this festival with joy also they renovate and clean their houses and decorate their houses with Diya and lights.Diwali mainly comes between in mid of october or november. They share sweets and gifts with others.

Some of the people make rangoli on the occasion of diwali to decorate their houses and put the flowers in their houses. Mainly in rangoli there is a design of flowers and circles including so many colours in it. 

The name of events that are held on Diwali:-

On the day 1 that is known as dhanteras, people dedicate that day to cleaning the house and purchasing utensils and gold.

On the day 2 it is call choti diwali. People pray for their ancestors.

On the day 3 it is the main day of diwali. People do laxmi pooja and visit temples.

On the day 4 it is known as Goverdhan pooja. It is dedicate to Lord Kirshna defeating Indra. As per the hindu calendar it is the first day of the new year.

On the day 5 it is call as Bhai dooj, that day sisters do pray for the success of their brothers. 

What mainly people eats on Diwali:-

Sweets on Diwali

Diwali is a time for eating sweets with family. One popular sweets is kaju katli make with cashews and sugar with flavour of rose water. Another popular sweet in northern India is besan burfi,made with besan,sugar and dry fruits. Jalebi is also a very popular sweet that is serve on diwali thats why We say that diwali is not complete without sweets. Womens prepare tasty food and sweets in their homes and invite their relatives and neighbours.

Does Diwali have an effect on the environment?

On this day it is advise not to burn fireworks because crackers are not safe because they are make up of harmful material. Crackers are also not good for kids because it causes so much air pollution that is not good for kids. Also, it is not good for aged persons. It is advise to always burn the fireworks under the supervision of adults.

Crackers also cause noise pollution. Noise pollution is harmful for animals because they are scare of its noice.

Conclusion:-

Diwali is a festival that is enjoye by Indians who live across the world. It is a festival that comes with happiness and joy. We must do that no one can do bad things on that day. For example:- we don’t burn the fireworks, dont hurt anyone on this day and also make one pledge on that day that we don’t do wrong with anyone.
